All interpretations of the Holy Scripture collected on the mobile app for iOS
The "Interpretation of the Holy Scripture" project was launched in 2010 on the basis of the official website of the Orthodox Monastery of Optina. The project is aimed at collecting in one place all the known interpretations of each verse of the Holy Scripture.
"Now, the happy owners of iPhone (and soon of iPad) will always have online at hand the necessary interpretations of almost any verse of the Holy Scripture," said in a statement on the site of the monastery.
The website bible.optina.ru is updated daily with new interpretations, thus maintaining application database up to date, which is available on the link: https://appsto.re/ru/wYk4cb.i.
"Interpretations include not only the texts of the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Church, but also others – both ancient and modern authors, the interpretation of which are in line with Orthodox tradition," specified in the message.
According to the authors of the project, in the near future a similar application for Android is also planned to be developed.
