Over 500 people evacuated from Balaklea by UOC clerics

Over 500 Balaklea residents have been evacuated thanks to the efforts of the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. As the UOJ learned from its sources, senior priest of the Intercession temple of the city, protopriest Dmitry Lartsev, other priests and parishioners who have a car, have been evacuating people to the safe place.

“We take the victims to Gusarovka city,” tells father Dmitry to the UOJ. “Here in a local temple meals are being cooked for them. As for our Intercession temple, it is still intact, thanks God.”

Ammunition supplies began to explode owing to the fire at the warehouse of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The citizens are leaving the city in short order or find shelter in basements.
