Filaret-propped up “Tornado” fighters handed 74 year sentence
Ex-squadron commander Ruslan Onishchenko is sentenced to 11 years of incarceration, his deputy Nikolay Tsukur – to 9 years, citizen of Belarus Daniel Liashuk is handed 10-year sentence, Ilya Kholod received 9,5 years. Besides, ex-fighters Boris Gulchuk, Maksim Glebov, Nikita Kust are each sentenced to 9-year imprisonment, while Anatoliy Plamadiala – to 8 years.
All together the “Tornado” battalion ex-fighters were handed in the aggregate 74,5 years divided by eight.
Another four “Tornado” fighters have been put on probation.
The UOJ wrote earlier that UOC KP chief Filaret compared the accused of sexual offences and tortures with Saint Peter Kalnyshevsky and pledged to pray for them.
In the conversation with pranker Lexus, the Kiev Patriarchate leader justified the use of tortures towards the enemies and said that “fascists are also humans”.
On March 2015 Filaret awarded a medal to Ruslan Onishchenko “For Self-Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine”.
