Primate of UOC congratulates women on Sunday of Holy Myrrh-Bearers (PHOTOS)

On April 30, on the third Sunday of Pascha, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy officiated at the Divine Liturgy in the Transfiguration Cathedral of Zhitomir, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

After reading the Holy Gospel, the Archpastor turned to the believers with the word of the sermon.

At the end of the Liturgy, His Beatitude congratulated the girls and women on the feast of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women.

The Primate reminded all those present of the 25th anniversary of the Zhitomir convention before the Kharkov Council.

Archbishop of Zhitomir and Novograd-Volynskiy Nikodim on behalf of all present thanked His Beatitude and presented him the Podol icon of the Mother of God.

The Primate blessed the flock, after which the Cross Procession was performed.
