UOC to present the film about position of Local Churches on Ukrainian schism (TEASER)

On June 12 in Kiev at the Cinema House there will be a premiere of the documentary “Ukrainian Orthodox Church: In Faith and Truth.” As the UOJ reports, with the assistance of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church the film was released, which tells about the position of patriarchs and metropolitans of Local Churches of Jerusalem, Cyprus, Greece, Poland, as well as the Holy Mount Athos with regard to the split of Orthodoxy in Ukraine.

The film raises the question: what is autocephaly for the Orthodox Church and its prospects for the UOC?

Priests and bishops of the UOC together with the hierarchs of the world Orthodoxy simply and clearly talk about what is a single Ecumenical Church, what is its history. They tell how the Ukrainian Orthodox Church arose, its spiritual and canonical connection with other Local Churches.

What do the words "Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church" mean when we read the Creed? How to treat the slogan "an independent country is an independent Church"? Why did Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan) consider that only the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is able to unite Ukraine?

You can watch the film at the Kiev House of Cinema (6 Saksaganskogo St.) on June 12 at 17:30. Free entrance.
