Kiev Patriarchate “pits patriots” in the fight for premises

In Lutsk, the Kiev Patriarchate has claims for the Bernardine monastery’s building, the Initial Publishing House, the Union of the ATO Warriors of Volyn and the Union of Volunteer Chaplains of Volyn. The premises are located in the center of the city, in the building of the monument of architecture of national importance. This is reported by Volyn24.

At a press conference on July 12, the deputy of Lutsk city council Pavel Danilchuk noted that the premises of the former Bernardine monastery at the address 2 Svobody Ave since the 1990s have been occupied by patriotic organizations headed by current director of the publishing house "Initial" Viktor Fedosyuk.

"Unfortunately, lately there have been misunderstandings with the chancellor of Volyn eparchy of the UOC-KP, Mikhail Zinkevich, who wants to "pit" patriotic organizations against each other," said Danilchuk. We do not understand why this is done. After the last scandal, when the seminarians wanted to throw the publishing house out of the room, now they want more – to punch foreheads of the ATO participants. "

Director of the publishing house "INITIAL" Viktor Fedosyuk noted, "When in the 90s the premises were "won"from the Moscow Patriarchate in favor of the Kiev Patriarchate, they did not think that this would lead to such a result. This counteraction became the quintessence of intrigue on the part of Met. Mikhail."

Several organizations were registered in the building at once: the publishing house, the Cossack small brotherhood and the Union of ATO Warriors.

The RSA carried out a check on the establishment of business entities that use state property at 2 Svobody Avenue. They found out that there is also a Coffee Room there "organizing lunches for pilgrims" no one knows about.

The director of the publishing house "Initial" said that he is preparing a letter on the situation addressed to the Kiev Patriarchate’s chief Filaret.
