The authorities of Ivano-Frankivsk are asked to check the UOC priests for their connection with FSB

60 deputies of Ivano-Frankivsk signed an address to the President of Ukraine in which they demand that the creation of the Unified Local Church be accelerated. It is reported by ”Kurs”.

The appeal is also addressed to the Verkhovna Rada, Cabinet of Ministers, SBU, Ministry of Internal Affairs and hierarchs of Ukrainian Churches.

Deputies assert that "the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, which in the future should be called the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, throughout its existence in the territory of our state acted as an instrument of the Russification of the Ukrainian people, still remains the leading information force in the hybrid war, waged by the Russian Federation in Ukraine."

Further in the "address" the priests of the UOC are accused of disrespectful attitude to the Ukrainian language and separatism.

The requirements of the deputies are set out in three paragraphs.

First, they demand "to intensify the processes to create a single local church in Ukraine."

Secondly, they want the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine "to disclose the essence of anti-Ukrainian propaganda, the schismatic activity of the UOC-MP".

Third, they demand that the SBU check "the possible involvement of the clergy of the UOC-MP in cooperation with the FSB of the Russian Federation and other special services of the aggressor state".
