UOC community of vlg. Veliky Omelianik resumes the construction of its church
A small structure could hardly house all those who wished to pray on the feast day, which once again proved: a temple of the canonical Church in this area is a necessity.
"We are grateful to everyone who donated funds for the interior improvement of our temporary prayer house," the head of the community, hieromonk Ilya (Vishnevsky) addressed his parishioners.
We recall that a small piece of land between the last houses of the Lutsk street belongs to the village council of the adjacent village of Zaborol. The St. Nicholas community of the UOC of vlg. Veliky Omelianik received this territory in 2012, prepared the documentation for the construction, but had to postpone the start of the work.
First, in the autumn of 2015, the community was asked not to dig a foundation pit before the end of the heating season, and in the spring of 2016 the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate in the Volyn region unexpectedly cancelled the package of documents for the future construction site issued in the same department.
After the community had restored the legality of this documentation by a court decision, the temporary prayer house was moved to a site allocated for the church, and construction work was resumed.
