Human rights defender denies fake about "security" organization of Zaporozhye eparchy

The scandalous "security" organization "Radomir" of Zaporozhye eparchy turned out to be a public organization that implemented projects to aid schools and has nothing to do with security services, said the head of the NGO "Public Advocacy" Oleg Denisov in a blog on the "Correspondent".

According to him, this organization, whose members are found to have weapons, as reported in the media, turned out to be just an ordinary charitable public organization, headed by a school teacher. The organization itself has long been engaged in providing assistance to schools and has nothing to do with security services, including to churches.

"However, someone needed to create an" image of the enemy" – and in the articles both "weapon" and "symbols" appeared. The weapon, by the way, is registered in accordance with the law and is a hunting carbine – it is available for free sale in any arms store," the human rights defender writes.

Earlier, the media disseminated information that the Security Service of Ukraine found unregistered weapons, pro-Russian symbols and anti-Ukrainian materials with the representatives of the public organization "Orthodox Union "Radomir" during the search in Zaporozhye. It was also reported that the organization provides security services to the churches of the Zaporozhye eparchy of the UOC.
