Deputies demand that NSDC consider "anti-state activities" of UOC

VR deputies from the party "Svoboda" sent a request to the National Security and Defense Council demanding to consider the "anti-state activities" of the UOC, to rename it into the ROC and take away the "illegally appropriated" temples from the UOC in order to transfer them to the "Ukrainian Church", reports the "Espresso".

The request was sent by people's deputies Andrei Ilyenko, Mikhail Golovko, Oleg Osukhovsky, Yuri Levchenko, Alexander Marchenko, Andrei Beletsky, Oleg Petrenko and Oksana Korchinskaya.

In the document, the deputies ask the NSDC "to stop the subversive activities" of the UOC in the state authorities, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies and educational institutions, and "to begin the process of returning shrines illegally appropriated by the MP to the Ukrainian Church".

In addition, the "Svoboda" members request the NSDC to rename the UOC into the ROC.

Earlier, the political expert said that the criminal case against the Zaporozhye diocese of the UOC was a political order.
