"Cyborg": statements about "anti-Ukrainian" activity of the UOC – manipulation

Those who are lying that the UOC is an "anti-Ukrainian Church" must look into the eyes of Ukrainian soldiers released from captivity and those military men who received help from the UOC, wrote on his Facebook page the commander of the first company of the 90th separate landing assault battalion of the 81st airmobile brigade defending the Donetsk airport, Sergei Biloshitsky.

According to him, now there are many statements with attempts to denigrate the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. "They hang a lot of labels on it, making up a lot of lies about it. They say that it is not patriotic, that it is against the Ukrainian people, that its activities are a threat to the state," writes the soldier.

"Let these provocateurs talk about the "unpatriotic" UOC to those thousands of soldiers who were treated in the Zaporozhye military hospital. Yesterday, by the way, Metropolitan Luke visited it and congratulated all those who are there on the feast. This is the Metropolitan who made every effort to ensure that the hospital in 2014 was repaired and could receive the wounded. This was the task of the whole Church. Is this anti-patriotism?" argues the "cyborg".

He suggests that those who disseminate these false statements say "directly into the eyes" of Ukrainian soldiers released from captivity that the UOC is an "anti-Ukrainian church": "For example, to my fellow soldier, Taras Kolodiy, who was freed due to the UOC. And other guys who would not have broken out of captivity, if not for the support of the Church and Metropolitan Onufry."

"Let these people tell the military who received help from the UOC about its "struggle against Ukraine". I’ve just Googled it, and among the first articles was a story that in 2016 the UOC aided almost 9.4 thousand servicemen and wounded soldiers, passing them food, clothing and thermal underwear, hygiene products, medicines and so on. There was also money assistance. Is that a betrayal of Ukraine???" says the combatant.

He stresses that no criminal cases on the basis of the "facts" of keeping weapons in the churches of the UOC have been instituted, although the accusations sounded many times, they never proved to be true. However, according to him, no one even apologized for the allegations: "But it is necessary, it has to be done. Their words fueled and split our society, incited hatred against the UOC, beat the unity of the Ukrainian people, " he resumed.

Earlier, Sergei Biloshitsky urged all participants of the war in the Donbass not to repeat the lies of politicians and not to stir up the interreligious confrontation directed against the UOC.
