After the press conference on the threats of S14, UOJ director placed on "Mirotvorets"
At today's press conference, Anna Poddubnaya said that the attack on the editorial office was the first case in the three-year history of the Union of Orthodox Journalists and expressed the hope that the authorities would take appropriate measures to guarantee the citizens' constitutional rights to freedom of conscience and freedom of speech. As you see in the screenshot of the "Mirotvorets" page, Poddubnaya’s personal data were published immediately after the briefing, which is another fact of pressure on journalists.
On Thursday, January 25, people in balaclavas with symbols of the nationalist organization "S14", entered on the list of international terrorist organizations, broke into the office of the UOJ and blocked the work of the editorial staff. About an hour they insulted the journalists and provoked a conflict, with the police inaction.
Earlier, the name of the vicar of the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra, Metropolitan Vladimir of Pochaev, was placed in the section "Purgatory" on the site "Mirotvorets" for urging believers to "convince not by the power of arms but by the power of the word".
On May 11, 2016 the "Mirotvorets" published full personal data, addresses and phone numbers of several thousand journalists from around the world, which caused an international scandal. On September 12, 2017, the UN call on Ukraine to urgently investigate the activities of the site "Mirotvorets", welcoming the fact that the National Police opened criminal proceedings on the site from August 2014 under Part 1 of Art. 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of the legitimate professional activity of journalists).
In July 2016, a member of the collegium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and deputy from the "People’s Front" Anton Gerashchenko said that "the Mirotvorets project has already brought this organization into the plan for a close study". This statement was made after our editorial board’s coverage of the All-Ukrainian Procession of Peace, Love and Prayer for Ukraine obstructed by the radicals.
