Clergy of Kiev eparchy of the UOC seeks protection from power

The clergy of Boyarka deanery of the UOC Kiev eparchy conducted a meeting with municipal head Alexander Zarubin. At the meeting there was discussed an issue of provocations organized by radicals near the Orthodox temples. It is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

On January 21, at the walls of the Holy Protection Church of Boyarka town, people with the flags of this organization insulted parishioners and priests, humiliated honor and dignity, threatened with violence and the destruction of the church.

One of the participants in the provocation was a civil servant Konstantin Vashchenko, the director of Boyarka municipal economy.

At the meeting with the city head, a plan of action was determined in case of further attempts to make provocations in the city.

On behalf of the many-thousand flock of Boyarka deanery, an official letter was sent to the mayor, as well as to the chairmen of the state administration, the district council and the head of the national police in Kiev region.
