Tymchuk finds excuse for seizures of UOC churches in case of granting Tomos
Coordinator of the group "Information Resistance" Dmitry Tymchuk
In case of granting autocephaly to the Local Church in Ukraine, groups of provocateurs will be located on the territory of churches and monasteries of the UOC. This was written by the people's deputy from "Narodny Front" ("People's Front") and coordinator of the group Dmitry Tymchuk on his Facebook page.
"According to the IR group, in the event of a negative decision for Moscow on the Ukrainian Local Orthodox Church (ULOC), questions on the creation of self-defense units, which will be located on the territory of UOC MP churches and monasteries, and provocateur groups, which will operate from radically "patriotic" positions to carry out provocations and attacks on objects and representatives of the UOC MP, are already being carefully considered," Tymchuk wrote.
Journalist and TV presenter Viacheslav Pikhovshek commented on Tymchuk’s statements on air of the programme "Chronology of the day" on the TV channel "NewsOne". "The words of Tymchuk about the creation of self-defense units, which will be located on the territory of churches and monasteries of the UOC, ... in my view, are a threat to the UOC. If Tymchuk knows anything about these self-defense units, he must report this to the SBU. And if Tymchuk or "Narodny Front" are behind the organization of these self-defense units, the SBU should deal with them," he said.
People's deputy and coordinator of the group "Information Resistance" Dmitry Tymchuk is known for his fake statements about the UOC. He accused the Gorlovka eparchy of cooperation with the separatists and saw the "Russian world" in the lessons of Christian ethics. Tymchuk is one of the co-authors of the anti-church bill No. 4511 and openly acknowledges that the new law is directed exclusively against the UOC.
