Hate speech against UOC believers increasing, – Bishop Viktor (Kotsaba)

OSCE Meeting on Religious Freedoms in Warsaw

In Ukraine, hate speech against believers of the UOC is increasing. The head of the Representative Office of the UOC to the European international organizations, Bishop Viktor (Kotsaba) said this in a commentary with the Inter TV channel.

"We are also forced to say that discriminatory processes against the UOC acquire a systematic character," stressed the bishop, participating in the OSCE meeting in Warsaw.

At the conference, the hierarch of the UOC delivered a report on the violation of the rights of believers of the UOC. In his speech, Bishop Viktor noted that the situation of the UOC in 2018 worsened due to continuing violations of the rights of believers, ineffective investigation of criminal proceedings and the continuing incitement of religious enmity towards the UOC.

Earlier, the head of the OSCE accepted for consideration the information on the violation of the rights of UOC believers.
