UOC KP "hierarch" calls the date of Tomos granting

"Metropolitan" Mikhail Zinkevich of the UOC KP

The “bishop” links this date with the Day of Apostle Andrew the First-Called, when the Phanar representatives, in his opinion, will arrive for the first service at St. Andrew’s Church, reports volyn24.com.

On this date, "everything must end", he said.

“Receiving the Tomos, its presentation to Ukraine, the arrival of the delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate ... I think logically. The Verkhovna Rada decided to transfer St. Andrew’s Church to the metochion of the Ecumenical Patriarch. The Ecumenical Patriarch, in addition to the autocephaly issue, which they were addressing, the question of removing the anathema from Patriarch Filaret and the recognition of all the hierarchs of the Kiev Patriarchate of the autocephalous church as dignitaries, decided to open his mission in Ukraine. In fact, he thereby showed that the territory of Ukraine is his territory, which he is in charge of,” says Mikhail Zinkevich.

Therefore, according to him, “the opening of this metochion gives us reason to argue that if the Verkhovna Rada decided to open the metochion, then we know that December 13 is the feast of St. Andrew the First-Called. The church was handed over, the documents, I think, have already been made, and it remains to serve there.”

“And how can they conduct a service there, without bringing us the Tomos? Because this is one of the decisions – the Tomos and an Orthodox temple of the Constantinople Church on the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, I believe that by December 13, they will issue the Tomos and arrive at the opening of the church,” the “hierarch” said.

As the UOC reported, earlier the representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to the World Council of Churches, Archbishop Job (Getcha) of Telmessos, stated that according to the decision of the Synod, all the hierarchs in Ukraine are de facto hierarchies of the Ecumenical Throne, and now they must wait for the directive of the Ecumenical Patriarchate regarding their future functioning and he will inform his subordinates when he deems it necessary. Patriarch Bartholomew will convene a unification Council in Ukraine when he “thinks the time has come”, he explained.
