The head of the UOC-KP Filaret Denisenko appealed to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky with a request to protect the "Kiev Patriarchate". The appeal was posted on the official Facebook page of the UOC-KP.
In particular, Filaret explains the need for such a request by the fact that in this case "we are talking about the interests of the Ukrainian people."
The head of the UOC-KP stressed that Ukraine received the Tomos of the so-called “independence” as a result of direct deception, in which the Patriarch and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kiev Patriarchate were closely involved, with the direct anti-people participation of President Poroshenko P. A.”.
Filaret Denisenko once again stated that “until January 6, 2019, no one except Poroshenko P.A. and Metropolitan Epiphany saw the text of the Tomos”.
That is why, according to him, "having received such an undesirable dependence, the faithful of the UOC-Kiev Patriarchate and I immediately began the fight against the enslaving deal, left the OCU and held the Local Council of the UOC-Kiev Patriarchate".
The head of the UOC-KP asserts that "a raider attack on the property of the UOC-Kiev Patriarchate is now beginning and this raiding is personally led by Metropolitan Epiphany, Primate of the OCU".
According to Filaret, “from July 29, 2019, the Ministry of Justice began the process of liquidation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kiev Patriarchate and deprivation of the right of legal entity of the Kiev Patriarchy of the UOC-Kiev Patriarchate based on the decision of the liquidation commission created by the leadership of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine”.
In turn, Denisenko declares that "neither the leadership of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine nor the liquidation commission created by it, have anything to do with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kiev Patriarchate."
That is why, the head of the UOC-KP says in his appeal, he asks the President of Ukraine “for direct intervention and an end to this lawlessness”.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Filaret Denisenko claims that the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Justice and the OCU, is engaged in the illegal liquidation of the Statute of the UOC-KP.
