On January 7, 2020, Advisor to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Sergey Sivokho, met at the station children who had come from the red zone of the contact line in the Donbas. The Advisor himself announced this on his Facebook page.
“Today I picked up at the railway station the children who had come from the red zone of the contact line in Donbas. They will spend Christmas days in the capital. They are waiting for excursions, holiday performances, carols and visits to holy places,” Sivokho shared with his subscribers.
He said that for another group of Donbas children, who arrived on January 6 from Krasnogorovka, they organized a visit to the Disney ice show at the Sports Palace. After the concert, the children were met by the brothers of the Holy Assumption Pochaev Lavra.
“Children of Donbas now need a fairy tale which adults have taken away from them. And we, the adults, are also responsible for returning it. Thanks to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and caring people, these holidays will give children a little magic, faith in miracles and goodness,” the Advisor to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council emphasized.
According to him, telethon “Christmas. People instead of war. Children of Donbas” will connect Kiev, West and East of Ukraine.
“And let this project become a symbol of spirituality, humanity and unity,” concluded Sivokho.
