From March 21, 2020, the “Inter” TV channel will resume the programme "A Word of Primate" with the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, reports the channel's website.

"This project is important for millions of people. Especially in such a difficult time, in which we live, when people are very much afraid and have many doubts,” said the head of Inter Media Group Anna Bezliudnaya. “Many are now losing faith or becoming unbelieving. People are losing ground. In my opinion, faith is the main guideline. Therefore, communication with the Primate becomes especially important and necessary in such periods".

According to Bezliudnaya, the channel has decided to release a new series of programmes "A Word of Primate" thanks to the lively response of viewers.

"Seeing the viewers' reaction to the previous series of this program and understanding, feeling that it is important and necessary for people, we decided to make the second series. Because it's a support, a very serious emotional, moral and spiritual support. And we are glad that Metropolitan Onuphry shares our position and, with all his workload, finds time and energy for this project," she stressed.

The Primate of the UOC will dedicate a new series of programmes to Christian virtues.

"It is symbolic that we begin these conversations during the period of Holy Lent, which brings people closer to the main Christian holiday – the Resurrection of Christ. It is the beacon to which we are all going, which can transform us, help us look at the challenges of the modern world in a different way and adjust our lives to the communication with God," said Anton Nikitin, Editor-in-Chief of the “Inter” TV channel.

The first programme of the new series will be aired on March 21, Saturday, at 7:10 am.

On November 9, 2019, the final (55th) programme "A Word of Primate" of the previous series was broadcast on the "Inter" TV channel. The audience of the first series of programmes with the Primate of the UOC was about 7 million viewers.
