Supreme Court of Ukraine: Symbols of "Galicia" SS division are not Nazi

On December 5, 2022, the Supreme Court of Ukraine recognized the symbols of the "Galicia" SS division as not related to the Nazi. This was announced by lawyer Vyacheslav Yakubenko, representing the interests of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, on his Facebook page.
“The Supreme Court has put an end to the lengthy legal epic initiated five years ago by representatives of the 'Russian world',” the lawyer announced.
Thus, the Supreme Court overturned the decision of the court of first instance of 2020, which declared illegal the actions of the Institute of National Remembrance, which refused to recognize the symbols of the "Galicia" SS division subject to the law prohibiting the use of Communist and Nazi symbols.
As the UOJ wrote, the bishops of the UGCC in Ivano-Frankivsk held a public funeral for the veteran of the "Galizien" SS division.
