American writer Shaun King, activist for racial equality in the USA, called for the destruction of all the images of “white Jesus, his European mother and their white friends”, which were created as “a gross form of white supremacy”. Relevant publications of the activist, who in 2018 entered the TOP 25 of TIME magazine of the most influential people in the American Internet segment, appeared in his Twitter account.

“I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been. In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? Egypt! Not Denmark. Tear them down,” King wrote.

In his opinion, it is necessary to remove all murals and stained glass windows depicting "white Jesus, his European mother, and their white friends."

“They are a gross form of white supremacy,” the 40-year-old writer upheld. “Created as tools of oppression. Racist propaganda."

As reported by Los Angeles Times, participants in the US anti-racism movement massively desecrate and destroy monuments to Catholic saints and other historical figures.
