The largest French Orthodox Internet portal Orthodoxie.com published an open appeal of the rector of the Kншv Theological Academy to the Ukrainian public, reports the KDAiS website.
On March 26, the website Orthodoxie.com, which is the largest Internet portal in France covering world Orthodoxy, published an open appeal in French by the Rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary Archbishop Silvestre to the Ukrainian public.
In particular, the resource states that the Kyiv Theological Academy, one of the leading theological educational institutions in Ukraine, which has more than 400 years of history, can terminate its existence due to the order of the National Historical and Cultural Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra", which on March 10 this year sent to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra a letter stating that from March 29, 2023, the lease contract, concluded in 2013, will be terminated. Accordingly, the administration of the Reserve demands that the monastery vacate all the premises that have been transferred to the monastery under the said agreement.
The Kyiv theological schools thanked foreign media for their support and for reporting the position of the KDAiS.
On March 25, 2023, the official KGA website published an open address of the KGA Rector to the Ukrainian public in Ukrainian, English, Spanish, Bulgarian, Polish and French.
As reported, the University of Munster in Germany came out in support of Lavra.
