Deputies of the Ternopil City Council voted to deprive the UOC of the right to permanently use the land under the Cathedral in honor of the martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov and their mother Sophia. The corresponding decision was made during an extraordinary session, which was broadcast on Facebook by the press service of the City Council.

40 out of 40 deputies present at the meeting voted for depriving the UOC of the cathedral land.

It’s noteworthy that the premises of the Ternopil diocese of the UOC are located at the same address as the above cathedral.

As reported by the UOJ, the Lavra's lawyer said that the actions of the city councils, aimed at depriving the UOC of land plots, contain signs of a criminal offense.
