On May 2, 2023, the commission of the Ministry of Culture inspected five buildings and one chapel of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, reports the Lavra's lawyer Volodymyr Lubianetsky, whose statement was published by a student of KDAiS on his Telegram channel "Pramykha".

According to the lawyer, the commission members did not seal any of the buildings located on the monastery's territory but only conducted a visual inspection.

"Today, the commission once again conducted an inspection of a number of buildings in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. At the moment, they have finished their work. They inspected five buildings according to the plan and additionally one chapel because they were passing by it and decided that it also needed to be inspected. Accordingly, no sealing was conducted. As agreed, they conducted only a visual inspection," he said.

Lubianetsky also stated that the next visit of the Ministry of Culture's commission is planned for Thursday, May 4: "Tomorrow, the commission will conduct documentary work and resolve their issues. The next visit of the commission to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is scheduled for Thursday, May 4, to continue their work."

As previously reported, the acting director of the Reserve stated that the buildings of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra are in good condition.

The UOJ also wrote that the "abbot" of the Lavra from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine came with a commission to "inspect" the monastery.
