In Phanar, Patriarch Bartholomew discusses "current issues" with Yelensky

On June 10, 2023, Patriarch Bartholomew received at his residence in the Phanar, the head of the Ukrainian State Ethnopolitics Service (DESS), Viktor Yelensky, as well as a group of Ukrainian diplomats: Ambassador to Turkey Vasily Bodnar, Chief Consul Roman Nedelsky, Consul Maxim Vdovichenko, reports fosfanariou.

It is reported that the DESS head discussed "current issues" with Patriarch Bartholomew. What exactly these are is not reported. Yelensky also congratulated the Phanar head on his name day "on behalf of the Ukrainian state and on his own behalf".

Later, Yelensky took part in the service of the Patriarch of Constantinople next to Patriarch Bartholomew, at his right hand. The spokesperson for the OCU, Eustratiy Zoria, also arrived at the Phanar with Yelensky.
