The Phanar is not negotiating with the Ukrainian authorities on taking control of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the head of the Constantinople Patriarchate's press service, Nikos Papachristou, told RIA.
"These reports do not correspond to reality," the head of the press service said.
At the same time, when asked how the Phanar comments on the situation around the Lavra, the head of the press service noted that the Church of Constantinople does not comment on it.
"The Patriarchate has never commented on it. Sometimes the Patriarch speaks about the Ukrainian problem in general," Papachristou said.
As earlier reported, according to Greek media, Zelenskyy intended to discuss with Bartholomew the transfer of the Kyiv Lavra to the Phanar.
