On October 9, 2020, a bill was registered by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which proposes to celebrate Christmas on December 25, reports Liga.net.
The initiator of bill No 4201 was the first vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and the people's deputy from the “Servant of the People” faction Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The project proposes to cancel switching to daylight saving time, as well as completely change for the Gregorian calendar, according to which, in particular, Christmas is celebrated not on January 7, but on December 25.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the "hierarch" of the OCU, "Metropolitan" Dimitri Rudiuk of Sokal said that his church structure is moving towards adopting a new calendar.
