On 7 August 2023, the final session of the Vinnytsia City Court on the case of Metropolitan Jonathan of Tulchyn was held, reports the resource politarena.

Judge Hennadii Kashpruk read the verdict, in which the UOC hierarch was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
" Based on Article 70, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for the aggregate of crimes, the court has imposed a final punishment of 5 years of imprisonment with property confiscation on Eletskikh Anatoliy Ivanovich," the judge read the sentence.
The metropolitan will be under house arrest until the verdict comes into force.
