Ministry of Culture announces "communication" of OCU chaplains with Lavra monks

OCU "priests" will immerse themselves "in the cultural and historical space of the national shrine".

The "Ukrainian Lavra" Foundation under the Ministry of Culture announced the program "Spiritual Restoration through Culture" for a group of 9 chaplains. The announcement was made on the Foundation's Facebook page.

The program's goal is stated as "moral and spiritual support for defenders after the trials of war through immersion in the cultural and historical space of the national shrine".

The announcement mentions that a group of 9 chaplains will spend a week "communicating with the monks of the monastery and participating in worship services in the temples of the Reserve".

The organisers did not specify who or what they meant by the phrases "monks of the monastery" and "temples of the Reserve". As of now, regarding the "monastery of the OCU Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra," it is known that only one person, “the acting superior” Avraamii Lotysh, belongs to it.

As reported, a symphonic music concert will be held in front of the Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra.
