The Russian Foreign Ministry no longer considers the Taliban a terrorist organization. This was stated to RTVI by the special representative of the Russian President for Afghanistan, director of the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zamir Kabulov.

“We don’t consider them terrorists per se. This has been proven by the very course of life,” Kabulov said and added that the Taliban, which are officially recognized as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation, have “evolved.”

“The Taliban announced that they are not going to engage in global jihad or transfer their ideology and way of thinking to neighboring states,” Kabulov assured.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Putin promised Kadyrov to build a new mosque in Moscow.
