On 25 October 2023, a humanitarian cargo from the Vinnytsia diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was delivered to the Dormition Svyatohirsk Lavra, the eparchy's press service reported.
Orthodox believers of the Vinnytsia region transferred about 14 tonnes of canned food, cereals, raw vegetables (potatoes, beetroot, cabbage, etc.), as well as building materials - more than 4 cubic metres of boards and 250 square metres of corrugated board for roofs to the residents of the Lavra and refugees living in the monastery.
The press service notes that this is already the 28th humanitarian cargo for the holy people from the Vinnytsia Eparchy.
Aid collection with the blessing of Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Vinnytsia and Bar was organised by the head of the eparchy's Charity Department, Deacon George Tolchev. The cargo was delivered by the clergy of the Kalynivka parish - Archpriests Dimitri Berezhniuk, Oleh Darmoroz and Eugene Koshelnyk.
As earlier reported, the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC delivered about 10 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to the Sviatohirsk Lavra.
