On the night of March 13, in the village of Zadubrivka, Chernivtsi region, six supporters of the OCU severely beat the 63-year-old parishioner of St. Michael's Church of the UOC Vasyl Khashchiyuk, reports the press service of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina Eparchy.

According to the rector of St. Michael's Church, Fr Vitaly Durov, it was Vasyl's day of duty, he took over at 12 at night, but since there were people in the church, and the next morning he had to go to work, he was allowed to go home.

“At 00.30, Vasyl left the church. One of the supporters of the OCU met him 300 meters from the church. A verbal conflict broke out. Another 5 people came up, all young, up to 20 years old. The late grandfather of one of the attackers was in conflict with the former rector of the temple, Fr Leonid. As a result, Vasyl received a concussion and multiple hematomas,” said the rector of the church in Zadubrivka.

The eparchy press service notes that the attackers on Khashchiyuk beat the parishioners of the UOC in May 2020 in the same way but were never brought to justice: “How long will the terror of Ukrainian citizens in the village of Zadubrivka continue? How many more victims do you need?"
