Former Metropolitan Oleksandr (Drabinko), in a comment to ALPHA MEDIA, stated that in the event of a ban on the UOC, thousands of communities, dioceses, and monasteries would go to court. This could paralyze the country's judicial system.

He explained that the UOC cannot be banned in principle because the Church is not a legal entity.

"The monasteries, parishes, and dioceses are physical units. And if each of these communities starts proving in court that it does not belong to the Moscow Patriarchate, if it starts suing the state, then the judicial system will simply drown in this legal quagmire," Drabinko said.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a U.S. lawyer sent the "White Book" on the bill against the UOC to the Verkhovna Rada.
