During the seizure of the Holy Protection Church of the UOC in the village of Peches'ke, Khmelnytskyi region, on January 27, 2024, "dean" of the OCU Mykola Khomyak staged a brawl. He demanded that everyone not affiliated with the OCU leave the church under the threat of the use of force. A video of the incident was published on the Telegram channel of the Khmelnytskyi Diocese.

Addressing the abbot of the church, Archpriest Mykhailo Furman, Khomyak demanded that he "watch his mouth" ("filter out the chatter" literally – Trans. Note).

He insulted the parishioners of the Holy Protection community. In response to the words of one woman who reprimanded Khomyak for speaking in the church inappropriately, he said, "Shut the hell up, b*tch, if you don't want to fall under my curse."

"Who are you, you f*cking dumb?" Khomyak asked. "Get out of here!" When the woman expressed her outrage with the clergyman's rhetoric, he blurted out, "Be cursed, b*tch!"

"Are you really considered a 'father'?" the woman exclaimed in bewilderment.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Peches'ke, activists of the OCU pushed out the rector and seized the church of the UOC community.
