Artem Dmytruk, a member of parliament, spoke on the "Vechir.live" program about the forced mobilization of the treasurer and secretary of the Khust Diocese. The MP posted a video on his Telegram channel.
In particular, he described how the mobilization of priests in Khust took place: individuals with three underage children were abducted from their homes by unknown individuals. A few days later, another priest from the Khust Diocese, who is the guardian of his wife who suffered a stroke, was also kidnapped. Currently, lawyers cannot reach him.
"Dmytruk noted that the Security Service or another law enforcement agency is putting pressure on these individuals to prevent them from spreading this information," the MP said.
Dmytruk emphasized that the law on mobilization has not yet been passed: "What will happen when these actions are legalized?!" he concluded.
As reported by the UOJ, in March, employees of the Khust Regional Military Commissariat and the Security Service detained two clergymen of the UOC Diocese despite legitimate grounds for exemption from military service.
