UOC delegation delivers the Holy Fire to Ukraine

The official delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church delivered to Ukraine the Holy Fire, which descended today in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
According to the UOC Information Center on Facebook, the Jerusalem Patriarch Theophilos III handed over the lamp with the Holy Fire to the delegation of the UOC as a blessing between the canonical Orthodox Churches.
The plane with the shrine arrived from Ben-Gurion Airport in Israel to Kyiv International Airport at 6.40 PM.
At the airport, members of the UOC delegation, led by Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich) of Boryspil and Brovary, Chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, shared the Holy Fire with journalists, believers, deans of the Kyiv diocese and the clergy.
From Kyiv, the Holy Fire will be delivered to all dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The meeting of the shrine in front of the Assumption Cathedral of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra will take place at about 11 PM.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that on May 1, 2021, the Holy Fire descended in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ over the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem at 13:55 by Kyiv time.
