American journalist Tucker Carlson has called on the U.S. authorities to condemn the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

In his authorial program on social media X (formerly Twitter), American TV journalist Tucker Carlson urged American legislators to speak out against the persecution of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the authorities of Ukraine.

Commenting on the allocation of financial aid to Ukraine, Tucker Carlson said, "I said directly to the speaker of the House (Mike Johnson), who says he's a Christian: 'How can you pay for the persecution of Christians with U.S. tax dollars?'"

"Why can't Christian leaders, Christian legislators in the United States, speak up and say, 'That's just wrong, we are not going to send our money to a foreign country to build a tyranny, as they have, and persecute Christians?' Why is that hard?" Tucker Carlson added.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that American journalist Tucker Carlson stated that the authorities of Ukraine are busy throwing Orthodox priests and nuns into jails.
