On May 25, 2024, before the start of the Vespers in the Church of St. Agapitus of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, several so-called activists placed provocative posters. As reported on the Save_Lavra Telegram channel, "inadequate women attacked the believers, incited hatred, and used foul language".
The police were present at the scene but did not intervene with the provocateurs.
A member of the UOC, ashamed of the so-called activists, approached them and made a remark. During the conversation, it turned out that they knew nothing about the Church or the Lavra except for the memorized provocative slogans.
The UOC parishioner told them that swearing doesn't befit a woman and recommended self-education.
"The whole state and the world are ashamed of you! ... You'd better read at least something. Read Taras Shevchenko, for example," the man recommended to the "activists".
As reported by the UOJ, Yevstratiy Zoria called the panagia, presented by the head of the Phanar to the Lotysh, "a help in the fight against evil" in the Lavra.
