None of the official representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will participate in the events where Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople will be present if he nevertheless arrives in Ukraine, said the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary during a briefing at the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra on the results of the Great Cross Procession in Kyiv.
In the video of the briefing published on the “Pershy Nezalezhny” Youtube channel, the UOC Chancellor noted that the UOC is against the visit of the Phanar head to our country because of the evil he brought with his anti-canon actions in Ukraine. “We believe that it is Patriarch Bartholomew who bears personal responsibility for what has been happening in Ukraine over the past years. This is the seizure of our churches; this is the beating of our believers. A lot of evil has been brought in. People have suffered, many thousands have suffered. And therefore, our believers will not understand us if someone - the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church or its representative – will attend the events where Patriarch Bartholomew will be present,” said Metropolitan Anthony.
As reported, according to the KDAiS rector, a new round of discrimination against the UOC is expected from the Phanar head’s visit.
