On September 4, the delegation of the UOC, headed by the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, and Metropolitan Sergii of Ternopil and Kremenetsky prayed during the evening service on the occasion of the enthronement of Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral in the square in front of the Church of the Holy Resurrection of Christ, reports Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovarsky on his Facebook page.

The Holy Doxology and the evening service were led by His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia.

The evening service was also attended by representatives of the Local Orthodox Churches and the bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

After the evening service, His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia served a litiya at the grave of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, which is located in the crypt of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ.

As reported, on September 4, in Cetinje, nationalists made fights with the police, barricaded the road with stones and tires, protesting against the enthronement of Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral and the visit to Montenegro of Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Despite this, thousands of Montenegrin believers met His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia in Podgorica in front of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ.

As reported, the enthronement of Metropolitan Joanikije took place at the Cetinje Monastery.
