The United States has published a security alert for its citizens, strongly recommending them to avoid visiting religious institutions in Romania from October 11 to 13. This information was reported by the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest.

The embassy noted that they had been made aware of threats potentially targeting a synagogue, temple, or mosque in Romania during the specified dates.

The embassy urged the "U.S. citizens to exercise increased caution near religious institutions in Romania for this period."

At the same time, the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) stated that it did not have information justifying an increased level of terrorist threat. However, they emphasized that they would operate with heightened vigilance to ensure safety in the country.

The Jewish community is observing Yom Kippur during these days, a time for fasting and repentance. The observance is taking place amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

As reported by the UOJ, DESS promised to provide all necessary conditions for Hasidic pilgrims in Uman during the celebration of Rosh Hashanah.
