Primate of Polish Church awards Metropolitan Hilarion with the Order

On October 10, in the Sviatogorsk Lavra, the hierarch of the Polish Orthodox Church, Archbishop Paisjusz of Przemyśl and Gorlice, took part in the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Donetsk Eparchy of the UOC and the 30th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of Metropolitan Hilarion of Donetsk and Mariupol, according to news.church.ua.
Archbishop Paisjusz congratulated Metropolitan Hilarion on his birthday and presented the Metropolitan with the highest award of the Polish Orthodox Church – the Order of St. Mary Magdalene Equal to the Apostles, 1st degree, on behalf of His Beatitude Metropolitan Sava. He also handed over the jubilee panagia from the Primate of the Polish Church and a copy of the Lesna Icon of the Mother of God form the Archbishop Abel of Lublin and Chełm.
As the UOJ previously reported, His Beatitude officiated the festivities in Sviatogorsk on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Donetsk Eparchy.
