Metropolitan Neophytos of the Cyprus Orthodox Church stated in an interview with Romanian priest Cyprian Mega that Europe is turning into hell and a great war is coming.
The interview was published on the Ομιλίες Μητροπολίτου Μόρφου channel on 9 December, though the description notes that it was given on 8 August 2024.
Metropolitan Neophytos said, "In Paris, they dared to mock the Divine Liturgy, the Last Supper – what is our food, the life of the Orthodox."
"The one who did this knew theology very well. Someone suggested it to him, someone said: 'This is the current state of affairs.' And we are in for a war, which seems to start not with Ukraine, as was thought, but with the Middle East," the hierarch stated.
He continued, "This is God’s plan, because people have failed to know the truth of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Triune God, through peace. Listen to this word: to know the truth," he emphasised.
The bishop continued, "Since you didn’t want to understand peacefully, you wanted to create your own paradise on earth, in wealthy Europe. But now your paradise is turning into hell with chaos, and a great war is coming. And those who remain alive… Those who remain… Let’s put dots here."
As earlier reported by the UOJ, according to Metropolitan Neophytos, the Western world has entered into dialogue with Lucifer.
