Valerii Zaluzhny, the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and now Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, shared details of his meeting with a fortune teller that occurred 25 years ago. Zaluzhny recounted this memory in his book My War.
According to the ex-Commander-in-Chief, the fortune teller predicted a war in which he would play the leading role. He is now convinced that the woman was referring to the war with Russia.
The encounter with the psychic happened in a train carriage. The woman, as the military leader described, was "beautiful and very elegant." "She was like a real Gypsy Aza, though she was definitely not a Gypsy," Zaluzhny shared.
Initially, the woman intended to tell him about his future, but then abruptly refused.
"I turned and looked into her deep black eyes. This lasted a few seconds," Zaluzhny recounts the past events in his book. "'No,' the fortune teller said. 'I can't say anything further. No! I'm sorry.' With these words, she clasped her head in her hands, resting her elbows on the table. 'What happened? Why not?' I was already impatient. 'I saw a war. A terrible one. Here, in our land. And you are the one leading it.'"
Earlier, it was reported that Zaluzhny received matzo from Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi.
