On January 22, 2025, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry congratulated Ukrainians on Unity Day, reports the UOC's Information and Education Department.
The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church underscored that unity is synonymous with togetherness, a value to which God calls us.
“In the unity of all forces and all parts of our Ukrainian people lies the strength and spiritual might of our state. We must remember that we are all part of our country, that we all belong to one Ukrainian family, and that there are no 'redundant' Ukrainians,” he said.
His Beatitude wished for all Ukrainians to "love God, to love, respect, value, and support one another, and to see each other as brothers and sisters. Then God will be with us, and no one will defeat us."
"Congratulations to all of you on this holiday, and may God’s blessing linger on us!" concluded Metropolitan Onuphry.
As the UOJ previously reported, Zelensky assured on Unity Day that Ukraine is united.
