Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), claimed that financing for terrorist attacks at Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRС) is carried out through the UOC.

According to him, the perpetrators do not receive any direct payment.

Kovalenko asserted that the "bombers" are promised "compensation" in cryptocurrency, but in reality, they never receive any money. He believes that payments go to other actors instead, stating that "the financing is carried out through the Moscow Patriarchate."

He added that the Russian Federation had been building an intelligence network for years, consisting of UOC clergy, intelligence officers, security personnel, and private security organizations. According to the NSDC representative, these individuals are involved in these schemes or serve as financial intermediaries.

"The Moscow Patriarchate has long been creating networks, including among people who worked in its security units. There was a significant number of militants among them. These were security organizations, but in reality, most of them were operating in Crimea and participated in its occupation. These individuals are now capable of manufacturing explosives, but I believe the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) will act professionally, and all of this will be neutralized," Kovalenko stated.

According to him, involvement in such terrorist activities is a one-way road, and the connections between the participants are quickly uncovered.

Kovalenko reported that saboteurs are typically imprisoned under the charge of "Terrorism", which foresees a life sentence. However, he added that the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) had allegedly decided that the final perpetrators should not be allowed to remain alive.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the NSDC Secretary discussed Ukraine’s international advocacy with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO).
