The court hearings in the case of Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk, abbot of the Holy Dormition Sviatohirsk Lavra, scheduled for February 11–13, 2025, did not take place, reports the monastery’s Telegram channel.

In the Sloviansk City District Court, the hearings were canceled due to the inability to assemble a full panel of judges and an uncoordinated schedule of sessions. The presiding judge did not take into account the work schedules of the defense attorneys, who are also involved in other cases.

The next hearing in Sloviansk is scheduled for February 18 at 13:00. The court will consider the defense’s motion to broadcast the proceedings on the YouTube channel “Judicial Authority of Ukraine” and will set the hearing schedule for April–May 2025.

The Dnipro Court of Appeals in Kryvyi Rih had planned to consider, in an online format, the appeals against the extension of Metropolitan Arseniy’s detention until March 30 on February 12. However, due to connection issues with Member of Parliament Viktoria Hryb and the defense attorneys during the videoconference, the hearing was postponed to February 25 at 13:45.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that on January 30, the court kept Metropolitan Arseniy in pre-trial detention.
