The "metropolitan" of the OCU, Serhii Horobtsov, called in his Facebook post for the decisive "neutralization" of the UOC as an enemy of the Ukrainian state. According to him, this is necessary in the context of the current political situation.
"When we approach important international negotiations, our unity and firm stance on the global stage are especially crucial," Horobtsov stated.
Referring to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church as the "Moscow Patriarchate," Horobtsov claimed that the UOC is "not only a threat to our state but also to each of us, as it allows the aggressor to influence minds and undermine national unity."
Horobtsov declared that the UOC, "like any enemy threatening our independence and security," must be "neutralized."
"We must act decisively and in a civilized manner," Horobtsov urged, quoting a line from the anthem: "Our enemies will perish like dew in the sun."
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to Dumenko, the UOC consists of enemies who merely disguise themselves as Ukrainians.
