Ukrainian-born Congresswoman Victoria Spartz criticized Volodymyr Zelensky on her X page for a number of actions, including the persecution of the Church.

"Zelensky took control of all Ukrainian media, prosecutes churches, businesses and volunteers, covered up corruption for his friends, uses 'puppet' prosecutors to unlawfully imprison and intimidate anyone who tells the truth about his failures to defend his country or could be a potential political opponent," Spartz stated.

Her post on X was made in response to Elon Musk, who had criticized Zelensky for his reluctance to hold elections.

Victoria Spartz was born and spent her childhood in Nosivka, Chernihiv region.

As a reminder, on the night of October 2, 2023, clerics of the OCU, along with unidentified individuals in camouflage, broke the locks and seized the Holy Trinity Church of the UOC in Nosivka. The next day, one of the OCU activists assaulted a parishioner, breaking her rib.
