U.S. Vice President James David Vance, who identifies as a devout Catholic, spoke about the fundamental principle of Christianity during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Forbes published a video of his speech.

"I believe like the fundamental tenant of the Christian faith it's not just a set of good moral principles, though it is that I think the fundamental tenant of our faith is that the Son of God became man. He died and then He raised Himself from the dead,"  Mr. Vance said.

According to James Vance, one of the key conclusions flowing from this belief is: "We should not fear death."

"Of course, death is a very bad thing, but there are much more terrible things than just losing one's life; more importantly, we could lose our soul," the U.S. Vice President emphasized.

Vance explained that this is why his team fights for unborn children and for peace and security for their citizens.

"I want us to be the kind of society where my children can grow up to be virtuous young people, to be good young Christians," he said.

As previously reported, the U.S. Vice President stated that the life of an unborn child is sacred in the eyes of God.
